Functional Description:
TRANSTEC's Switching Module for high-voltage applications serves the switching of two electric circuits, where the conditions of installation are not given for individual activation of either one circuit, analogously where a canonic serial connection is not installed and one has to realize the same through a different solution.
Memory-Function:
In case the modul remains switched off longer than two seconds, upon re-starting through switching on the first level will be turned on. Because of this a derivated action is being realized.
Safeguarding:
Since the Switching Module is a passive component it is not safeguarded.
Especially the load circuit is with regard to its maximal load capacity of 16 A to be safeguarded by the operator.
As load-switching-component are relay-contacts employed which maximal load is named as 16 A AC.

Switching:
Switching occurs through defined on-off switching within a time frame of 1-2 seconds. If this time falls short of a second no actual switch-over will be achieved, which means the already active switching mode remains in effect. If 2 seconds are exceeded, a switch over into the Memory Level is being caused.
Installation of On/Off Switch with Control Lamps:
Problems may occur, if the control lamps are lying parallel to the On/Off Switch, so that no derivated action through turning the switch can come about. In such cases the switch needs to be supplied through a separate N-conductor or one needs to abstain from using the Control Lamp.
Connection:
The junctions to the module are only to be connected as per the drawing below, otherwise a secure functioning cannot be ensured! |
|
| |
Switching Sequence:
When executing the switching process the following switching sequence is put into effect:
1. Switching: only circuit A1
2. Switching: only circuit A2
3. Switching: circuits A1+A2
in analogy to the switching sequence of a classical serial connection! |
| |
In case the derivated voltage range is under-run, there is no operational reliability ensured! |
